There are a few ways to take a screenshot on a Chromebook.
Keyboard shortcut:
- Press the
CtrlandShow windowskeys at the same time. - Press the
F5key.
This will take a screenshot of the entire screen.
Screen capture tool:
- Click the time in the bottom right corner of the screen.
- Click the
Screen capturebutton. - Select the type of screenshot you want to take:
- Full screen: This will take a screenshot of the entire screen.
- Partial screen: This will allow you to select a specific area of the screen to screenshot.
- Window: This will take a screenshot of the currently active window.
External keyboard:
If you’re using an external keyboard, you can use the following keyboard shortcut to take a screenshot:
- Press the
CtrlandShiftkeys at the same time. - Press the
F5key.
This will take a screenshot of the entire screen.
Once you’ve taken a screenshot, it will be saved to your Files app. You can then edit, share, or delete the screenshot as needed.
Here are some additional tips for taking screenshots on a Chromebook:
- You can use the
Spacebar to change the size of the area you’re selecting when taking a partial screenshot. - You can use the
Tabkey to cycle through the different elements on the screen when taking a partial screenshot. - To cancel taking a screenshot, press the
Esckey.
