To block a number on iPhone, you can do one of the following:
From the Phone app:
- Open the Phone app.
- Tap Recents, Favorites, or Contacts.
- Tap the info button (i) next to the number you want to block.
- Scroll down and tap Block this Caller.
- Tap Block Contact to confirm.
From the Settings app:
- Open the Settings app.
- Tap Phone.
- Tap Blocked Contacts.
- Tap Add New.
- Enter the phone number you want to block and tap Block this Caller.
- Tap Block Contact to confirm.
Once you have blocked a number, they will not be able to call or text you. You will also not receive FaceTime calls from them.
To unblock a number:
- Open the Settings app.
- Tap Phone.
- Tap Blocked Contacts.
- Tap the red minus button (-) next to the number you want to unblock.
- Tap Unblock to confirm.
Here are some additional things to keep in mind about blocking numbers on iPhone:
- You can block up to 200 numbers.
- Blocked numbers will not be able to leave you voicemails.
- Blocked numbers will still be able to send you emails, but they will go to your junk folder.
- If you have an iPhone 13 or later, you can also block unwanted calls and messages from unknown numbers.
- Tap Favorites, Recents, or Voicemail. Tap. next to the number or contact you want to block, scroll down, then tap Block this Caller.
- Tap Contacts, tap the contact you want to block, scroll down, then tap Block this Caller.
