To delete a page in Word, you can use one of the following methods:
Method 1:
- Click anywhere on the page you want to delete.
- Press
Ctrl
+G
to open the Go To dialog box. - In the Enter page number box, type
\page
. - Press
Enter
. - The page will be selected. Press
Delete
to delete it.
Method 2:
- Click the View tab.
- In the Show section, check the box next to Navigation Pane.
- In the Navigation Pane, click the Pages tab.
- Select the page you want to delete.
- Press
Delete
to delete it.
Method 3:
- If the page you want to delete is blank, you can simply place the cursor at the top of the page and press the
Backspace
key until the page is deleted.
Tips:
- If you can’t delete a page, it may be because it contains a section break. To delete a section break, press
Ctrl
+Shift
+8
to show paragraph marks. Then, select the section break and pressDelete
. - If you accidentally delete a page, you can press
Ctrl
+Z
to undo the deletion.
