There are two ways to unpair your Apple Watch:
Using your iPhone:
- Open the Watch app on your iPhone.
- Tap the My Watch tab.
- Tap All Watches.
- Tap the info button next to the watch you want to unpair.
- Tap Unpair Apple Watch.
- Tap Unpair [your Apple Watch name].
- If you have a GPS + Cellular model, choose whether to keep or remove your cellular plan.
- Type your Apple ID password to disable Activation Lock, then tap Unpair.
Using your Apple Watch:
- On your Apple Watch, tap Settings > General > Reset.
- Tap Erase All Content and Settings.
- Type your passcode if prompted.
- For GPS + Cellular models, choose to keep or remove your cellular plan.
- Tap Erase All to confirm.
Once you have unpaired your Apple Watch, it will be reset to factory settings and all of your data will be erased. You can then pair your Apple Watch with a different iPhone or set it up as a new device.
Please note that if you are unpairing your Apple Watch to sell it or give it away, you should first disable Activation Lock. To do this, follow the steps above to unpair your Apple Watch using your iPhone. When prompted, enter your Apple ID password. This will disable Activation Lock and allow the new owner to pair the watch with their own iPhone.
