How To Drop A Pin

To drop a pin in Google Maps:

On mobile:

1. Open the Google Maps app on your iPhone or Android device.
2. Search for an address or scroll around the map until you find the location where you want to drop a pin.
3. Tap and hold the screen on the desired location.
4. A red pin will appear, and a menu will pop up at the bottom of the screen.

On desktop:

1. Go to the Google Maps website.
2. Search for an address or scroll around the map until you find the location where you want to drop a pin.
3. Left-click the desired location.
4. A gray pin will appear, and an information box will pop up at the bottom of the screen.

Once you have dropped a pin, you can:

• Add a label: Tap the “Label” button in the menu to add a name to your pin.
• Get directions: Tap the “Directions” button in the menu to get directions to or from the pin.
• Save the pin: Tap the “Save” button in the menu to save the pin to your Google Maps account.

To remove a pin, tap the pin and then tap the “Remove” button in the menu.

Here are some tips for dropping pins in Google Maps:

• If you are dropping a pin on a specific address, you can simply search for the address in the search bar. Google Maps will automatically drop a pin at the location.
• If you are dropping a pin on a specific point on the map, such as a landmark or a business, you can zoom in on the map and then tap and hold the desired location.
• You can also drop pins on multiple locations at once. To do this, tap and hold the screen on the first location, then tap and hold the screen on each additional location. A red pin will appear at each location. You can then tap the “Done” button to finish dropping pins.
